The 10″ x 7″ size is OK for GPS items and it can fit under a seat, but I’ve already found a need to get another since the first one has turned into my laptop kit (external USB drive, earbuds, cables & adapters, etc.). I’m thinking about getting an additional one also to keep my phone & iPod items together in one case (cables, spare headset gels, screen protectors, etc.).
The combination of mesh, velcro, and three pockets (held with velcro) helps to keep things sorted nicely, and you’re likely find it has room for a few extra items in it as well.
